Colour Splash

Hello.

I would like to share a card with you that I made for the current challenge at
Lawnscaping - Colour Splash.

I have used 'My Silly Valentine' and 'Harold's ABC's'. I love all the Lawn Fawn alphabet sets because there are so many duplicate letters it is really easy to make sentiments.

Also a quick reminder that you still have time to enter our current challenge here.

Thanks for stopping by today... I hope you enjoy the rest of your evening/day.

Spring Is Here

Hello there!

I am just popping in to share my card for this weeks Wee Memories challenge, which is "Spring is Near, Green is here!"

Very simple card, but I like it. The cloud paper is from A Muse, the die cut clouds are PTI. I hand cut the leaves and the flower is a Martha Stewart sticker that I have had for ages. The grass is a scrap piece of Cosmo Cricket and of course yummy twine from The Twinery.

I hope you have all had a great start to your week.

Design Team Post

Hey there! Welcome to another Design Team post.

Before we start, just a quick reminder that you still have time to enter our current challenge - click the picture below to be taken to the challenge post.

Now onto some cards!

As most of you know,
Hero Arts recently teamed up with Basic Grey to produce a new line of stamps. Joy is using some of these yummy new stamps from the Party collection on this fun birthday card - 'Life of the Party Words', 'Life of the Party Dots', 'Life of the Party Birthday'.

This beautiful card from Ange uses 'Silhouette Grass' from Hero Arts. For the background she has used
Lawn Fawn's 'Teeny Tiny Backdrops' set. And you gotta love all those buttons!

I decided to make a card for the current
Lawnscaping Challenge, which is to use a stamp set in an unconventional way. I had to really rake the old brain matter for this one! Hopefully this card qualifies. I used the apple and pie from Lawn Fawn's 'My Silly Valentine' and hand drew legs and arms on them. Not sure if I should add a sentiment - perhaps across the bottom of the frame?

Well thanks so much for dropping by - I love reading all your lovely comments. Here's hoping you all have a crafty day!

Wee Memories And An Award

Hello

I just love playing along with the Wee Memories Challenges and this week the theme is 'Woodland Friends' - how cute it that.

While I was checking out some of the blogs I follow I came across this card by the very talented Cristina and I just had to CASE it for the challenge.

The frame is cut from A Muse woodgrain cardstock and the two squirrels are also from A Muse (stamps and gingham paper). The leaves are from PTI and I embossed the Lawn Fawn sentiment in white.

I would also like to thank Jen W., who awarded me a Liebster Award! It's very sweet of you Jen, thank you.

When accepting the award you need to in turn recommend 3-5 other blogs who deserve a shout out. Jen choose fairly new blogs which had fewer than 100 followers, so I decided to stick to that. I have been following these blogs for a while now and each of these ladies is extremely talented and definitely worth checking out.

Sunday DT Post

Happy Sunday to you all!

I have some lovely cards from the DT to share with you, so hopefully you will find something to help inspire you today :)

Ange has used 'Teeny Tiny Backdrops' from
Lawn Fawn to create this fun background for her card. She has paired it with 'Jane's Bakery' (the sentiment and cupcake). Fabulous birthday card!

This beautiful butterfly stamp Joy has used is from
A Muse and for the background she has used Hero Arts 'Envelope Background'. Gorgeous!

The stamp I used for my background is the fabulous 'Classic Fabric Design' from
Hero Arts. I stamped it with Versamark Ink and then used white embossing powder. I used distressing inks to add different shades of green. The ribbon and buckle are from Making Memories and the sentiment is from PTI.

Embellish Color Trends

Hello

It has been so hot here today that I escaped to my craft room where it was slightly cooler with the fan going. It is supposed to be Autumn here now, but in the Tropics you don't really notice the change in seasons very much :)

Today I am playing along with the Embellish Color Trends With Music Challenge.

I tried to stick as close to the challenge colours as possible, but there are some slight differences.

I had an old music book so I stamped my flower 3 times onto a sheet of music and then cut them out. I used distress ink on the edges and layered them. The leaves I cut from felt - all products are PTI. I do not have a Scor-pal so I used my paper trimmer to score the checkered pattern on the card.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. I am off to watch my boy play rugby - the first game of the season :)

Inspired By...

Hello everyone. It's the middle of the week already and I have another very busy week at work (sigh). However, I did manage to make a card, yay!

I have been having a hard time making cards lately, so today I turned to an amazing stamper, Jill Foster and her wonderful blog, Inspired By... to find my inspiration. I actually cased one of Jill's cards - thank you Jill!

The image is Garden Bouquet by Hero Arts and on the sentiment panel I used Graph Background also by Hero Arts. Lots of distress ink on this card and I used a new colour twine - Blossom - from The Twinery.

I hope you enjoy the rest of your week :)
