Quick Post

Hello

Just popping in to post my card for Wee Memories Challenge #57. This weeks challenge is to "Stamp It" and I almost ran out of time to play :)

This card was inspired by Jill Foster's card here (it is the second card).

The cardstock and all stamps are from A Muse. I used Marmalade and Pumice Stone distress ink for the background of the central panel. Then Marmalade and Walnut Stain for the stamping and the background on the card base.

Have a great start to you weekend :)

Cute Cards!

Hello.

Thanks for popping in today. Just a reminder that you still have time to enter our current challenge - we would love to see your creations. The link is on the side bar and the challenge is open to everyone.

So, I have some lovely cards from the DT to show you.

Could you find a card any sweeter than this! Joy has used this gorgeous La La Land stamp 'Sweet Dreams Marci' and her colouring is just superb.

Ange has used Pure Innocence 'Warm Fuzzies' for her card and it is just too adorable! How cute does she look in that little outfit and the hand stitching is a wonderful touch.

The current challenge at Lawnscaping is Polka Dots and I wanted to do something a little different. I hope this qualifies :) My first thought was someone who is sick and covered in spots.

I have used the raccoon from Lawn Fawn's 'Critters in the Forest'. The sentiment is hand written and the ambulance was a digi image I found and coloured with pencils.

Happy crafting.

A Challenge and A Search

Hi everyone.

Heres hoping you have all had a good start to your week.

I am loving CAS-ual Fridays and their 2nd challenge is to use buttons and twine on your project. I decided to team it up with Paper Smooches Guest Designer search. Kim makes the cutest images and when I saw the new digi stamp I couldn't resist joining in.

When I first saw this guy I immediately thought 'fish', (despite the very obvious stripes), so I went with it :)

The wagon is a sizzix die which I embossed and then added metal button wheels and plaited twine to pull it along. The fish bowl was also a digital image that I found, coloured with distress inks and then added a thin layer of glossy accents. The sentiment is computer generated also, (sticking to a theme here!)

It doesn't look it in the photo, but this card is actually square - 5" x 5" (sorry for the bad picture).

Have a great day.

Sunday DT Post

Hello

Sorry this post is late, I had trouble loading photos today!

The DT have some great cards to share with you, so lets have a look.

I love it when stamps have other uses than what was intended - makes them so versatile. Ange has shown this by making a gorgeous Christmas card with the pine tree from
Lawn Fawn's 'Critters in the Forest'.

Joy has combined 3 sets from
Lawn Fawn for this wonderful card, which also fits nicely into our current challenge (click the link on the side bar for full details). Stamp sets used are 'Say Cheese', 'Say Cheese, Too' and 'Swimsuit Season'.

I have also used
Lawn Fawn today :) The sweet little fox is from 'Critters in the Forest' and the sentiment is from 'Sophie's Sentiments'. The sky paper is from A Muse and I hand cut the grass. I made the tree embellishment using MFT's Die-namics 'Teardrop Tree', which I cut in felt and then hand stitched.

Here's to a relaxing Sunday :)

LaBlanche Inspiration

Hi there.

First up, I would like to say how much I appreciate all the lovely comments I have received... thank you so much for taking the time... I really do LOVE getting comments :)

Secondly, a quick reminder about our current challenge, you can find the link on the side bar - we would love you to play along with us.

And now a card...

Last week I added some beautiful LaBlanche stamps to the store, and the lovely Joy has very kindly made a card showing what can be done with these beautiful stamps.

For best results you need to use LaBlanche's speciality paper, but the stamps themselves are so easy to use. For this card Joy stamped the image and then coloured with distress inks using Cut n Dry Nibs. She then went over the whole panel with more distress ink and her blending tool. The end result is gorgeous! These stamps are some of the most detailed on the market and really are very beautiful.

Hope you all have a wonderful day.

Happy Mothers Day everyone!

And if you are not a mother, I hope you have a wonderful day with your mothers, grandmothers and family.

If you have time to be crafty today (and I hope you do) how about entering our challenge (the link is on the sidebar). We would love to have you join us :)

And speaking of our challenge, Joy has made another fabulous card to help inspire you. Isn't this just so soft and pretty? The background is actually
Hero Arts Designer Papers; these are gorgeous if you have not used them yet. The image and sentiment are both from Hero Arts 'Just Saying Hi' set.

Ange has made an amazing birthday card - looks so great with all the different sentiments. Can you believe it's all from one set! -
Practicing Creativity's 'Another Year'. This would look gorgeous in a variety of different colours.

My experimenting continues and I tried water colouring today with distress inks on water colour paper. I do find colouring so difficult and I am not sure why. All the stamps used on this card are from Hero Arts. The background was stamped with Envelope Pattern, the sentiment is from Find Joy and the flower is Hand Drawn Flower. The border punch is from Martha Stewart.

I am off to enjoy the rest of the day with my family... I have already had pancakes for breakfast, I wonder what is next?

Two Challenges

Hi

I have a quick post to share tonight. I should be making a card for my DT post tomorrow, but had a little play instead... oops!

So, I have been very slack in participating in Jingle Belles challenges, but their latest challenge is 'vintage' and I wanted to play. I hope this image is vintage enough as it is not a vintage card, in fact it is a very non traditional Christmas card :) I decided to combine it with the first challenge of CAS-ual Fridays, which is all about text. Very happy that there is a new CAS challenge blog!

I stamped the Santa image on newspaper, matted it on black card stock and applied glossy accents to the whole lot. I added the ribbon for a splash of colour.

Edited: Sorry I forgot to say what stamps I used. The santa image is from Victorine Originals and the sentiment is from Hero Arts - Celebrate The Season.

Thanks so much for all your lovely comments - they really make my day.

Wee Memories

Hello

I decided to make a card for the current challenge over at Wee Memories - very last minute! The challenge is to use paper piecing, which I love to do.

Here is my card. I have used a real mix of different stamps on this card :)

The house and the 'happy' are from Stampin Up (different sets). The rest of the sentiment is from Lawn Fawn. The tress are from A Muse (using Cosmo cricket paper) and the grass is from Practicing Creativity. Whew!

I am off to have dinner... DH is cooking, Yay!
