A New Challenge

Hello

One of my favourite blogs to browse is Alice's Little Wonderland - she is the most amazing colourist and her creations always leave me in awe :)

Alice is on the inspiration team for Inspiration Journal and they have monthly challenges - this month is 'Texture It' (to add some texture to your projects with embossing).

I used Tim Holtz's Regal Flourishes embossing folder and wiped Antique Linen distress ink over the raised surface. When I ran it though my Big Shot it pushed the ink into the de-bossed areas.

I searched my meagre stash of goodies and found my one and only set of rub-ons from Kaisercraft for the sentiment, which I adhered to vellum. I am also entering this card into CAS-ual Fridays 12th challenge which is to use rub-ons.

The little girl is from a Crafty Secrets journal note pad.

Have a fabulous day everyone :)

Cards, A Challenge And A Sale!

Happy Sunday all!

Warning! This is quite a long post LOL, please bear with me!

First up is a reminder that you still have time to enter our current challenge - it is open to everyone and there is a fabulous stamp from Purple Onion Stamps to be won. Click on the photo for the original post.

This next bit is particularly for my Australian friends - we are having a SALE over at the shop. 20% off all A Muse stamps, Elzybells stamps, Inchie Arts and Japanese Masking Tape. There are limited stocks on all items.

Now for some cards.

Ange has made a fun and colourful birthday card with 'Star boy Luka' from La La
Land. I must say her colouring is just amazing - what little boy wouldn't love this card!

Joy has created a paper pieced masterpiece! Love the distressed and rolled corners of the polaroid frame. Stamps used are 'Say Cheese' and 'Admit One', both from Lawn Fawn stamps.

I wanted to enter the current Lawnscaping Challenge, which is to 'Stamp a Scene'. I went a little different and created a scene in a painting. The little houses are a stamp from A Muse called 'Winter Houses', the frame is from Lawn Fawn's 'Fanciful Frames' and the little stars are actually the asterisk from Lawn Fawn's 'Harold' ABCs. The paper is supposed to be wallpaper and is from Basic Grey's 6 x 6 paper pad 'Hello Luscious'.

If you're still reading, thanks for sticking with me :) Have a fabulous day.

Paper Smooches

Hi there.

Nearly the end of the week - yay! I have lost my voice the last couple of days which is very tricky when you are a teacher, so I am really looking forward to the weekend so I can rest.

I wanted to make a card for the Paper Smooches July Sparks Challenge. I chose to use the colours on the diagonal - sky blue, kraft, sunshine, pink.

This is one of those cards that is great in your head but doesn't quite turn out as well in practice. I used two free Paper Smooches digis - the cute bee and basket. The sentiment is from Practicing Creativity.

I appreciate you stopping by and all your lovely comments.

Hello

Happy Sunday to you all. And because it's Sunday, we have another group post from the Design Team. Yay!

Let's start the day with Joy's card. She has gone CAS today with this sweet little number. Both the dress form and sentiment are from a set called 'Sew Lovely' from Lawn Fawn. I always love the little finishing touches Joy adds to her cards - in this case the two glittered lines. Fantastic card.

Ange has gone all shades of pink for her adorable baby card today. She created the large 'baby' sentiment with a new set from Lawn Fawn called 'Quinn's ABCs'. The sweet image is from Jane's Doodles which you can find here. Make sure you pop by Ange's blog as she has another card using this versatile alphabet set.

I also went CAS today with my card (surprise!). The ice cream and ticket image both come from a Hero Arts/Basic Grey set called 'Life of the Party Birthday'. I altered the ticket by masking the centre and replacing it with the happy birthday sentiment.

I am entering this into two challenges. CAS-ual Fridays Challenge where you must use a 'sweet or treat' on your card and Wee Memories Challenge #62 where you need to make a CAS card.

You also still have time to enter our current challenge - you could win an adorable stamp from Purple Onions Design. All the details are here.

Well, thats it from me... have a wonderful day :)

I Have A Cased Card Today

Hello everyone

I have admired Kathy Racoosin and her amazing blog for a while now - she makes the most incredible cards. A little while ago she posted a great tutorial on making a background with scraps - you can see it here. I had heaps of fun doing this.

The stamped image is Noah's Ark from Jane's Doodles and the sentiment is from Practicing Creativity.

I am entering this card into the Simon Says Stamp challenge - the theme is Anything Goes.

Have a fabulous day.

Hello

Sunday means I get to show you fabulous cards from the Design Team - so lets get started :)

Joy has created a beautiful card using embossing onto patterned paper. The effect is just so pretty. This gorgeous stamp is called 'Flower Bird Garden' from Hero Arts.

Here is a close up so that you can more clearly see the embossing.

Ange is so good at coming up with clever ways to use stamps and this card is no exception. I love the hot pink glasses complete with bling! The images and sentiment all come from a sweet little Lawn Fawn set called 'Clear to See'.

I love these cute and whimsical stamps from Purple Onion Designs - they are so fun to make little scenes with. The stamps from this set come from 'Home Sweet Home'. The background paper is actually textured.
Thanks so much for popping in, have a wonderful day :)

Rainbow Card

Hi there. Have you had a good day? I hope so :)

I wanted to play in the current Embellish challenge which is a Rainbow challenge.

Here is the card I made... pretty simple. I took some slightly textured cream coloured card stock and used distress inks to colour it. I then cut a strip for my card and die cut clouds from the same piece. The cute little bird is from Jane's Doodles 'Garden Friends' set and I coloured him with copics.

And speaking of Jane's Doodles, make sure you pop on over to the blog - Jane is giving away a Mr Smiles stamp... he is adorable!

Thanks so much for popping by!

Hey There

How are you all? These weeks just seem to be whizzing by! It's hard to keep up.

I have some more cards to share with you from the DT today.

Ange has made the perfect summer card here, it's so fun! She has used 'Lauderdale Sunshine' from Hero Arts. Love the colourful swimsuit.

Look at this cute little card from Joy! She has used a combination of stamps on this card - 'Robot Trio' from Hero Arts, 'Carved Love' from Practicing Creativity for the background and 'Hello Friend' from Lawn Fawn for the sentiment.

I got some new Glimmer Mist this week and could not resist having a play :) The fun frame is from 'Fanciful Frames' from Lawn Fawn and the sentiment is from 'Little Bundle' from Practicing Creativity - this set has some really lovely baby sentiments. And I added the perfect button from Jane's Doodles.

Me

Have a lovely Sunday and for all those enjoying the 4th of July celebrations - have fun!
