Happy New Year's Eve! I hope you all have fun tonight and stay safe whatever you decide to do :)

Penny Black have combined with Flower Soft and are having their first ever blog hop - their are some gorgeous creations, so make sure you check it out.

I love both cards by Kathy Racoosin, but her simpler version is my favourite - more my style :) I used it as inspiration for my card... flower focal image, centred sentiment, colouring/stamping on top of a pattern.

This gorgeous flower image is called Pin-striped. I stamped onto music paper and coloured with distress inks and paper pieced. The sentiment is from Jane's Doodles 'Pretty Peonies' set.

Paper Smooches SPARKS Challenge 29th December - 11th January

Hi there! I am back today with a new Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge.

I am really looking forward to seeing how you interpret todays inspiration photo!

I went with the rainbow colour scheme and one of my new sets, 'Word Salad', had the perfect sentiment. The other sets I used where 'My Peeps' for the coloured bird and 'Hang Ups' for the power poles and the smaller birds. The power lines and grass I drew myself.

Well, Christmas is over for another year... it really does fly by so fast. I hope you all had a lovely time with your families.  I am home at the moment with a sick husband - we all know how much fun that is!

I also have a card to share. The camera and sentiment are Paper Smooches from 'Perpetual Bliss' and the film strip is a Die-namics die from MFT. I also used some Tattered Angles mist and the heart is one I have had for a long time and can't remember where it came from :)

I was inspired by Some Odd Girls current "Love Inspiration Challenge". I was actually inspired by the idea of a 'photo' and the hearts.

Today is Some Odd Girls' 2nd Annual Customer Hol-ODD-Day Hop and I decided to play along.

I saw this adorable 'Pressie Tobie' image and thought he would make a great gift card holder. I enlarged the image - it is roughly 7" x 7" - large enough to fit a gift card in the present. The present is paper pieced with papers from MME and Tobie is coloured with copics.

Smooches

I am solo today... no Design Team projects, I gave them this week and next week off, so you are stuck with just me!

While I am on holiday, I am really trying hard to work on my copic colouring skills - this is my first attempt (that I can publish).  I am entering it into the current Wee Memories Anything Goes challenge.

This image is the gorgeous Eleanor from Kraftin' Kimmie... they had a wonderful Black Friday special and I bought a few stamps :) The sentiment is from Paper Smooches Chubby Chums and the paper is Cosmo Cricket.

A New Challenge Site

About a week ago I sponsored the opening of a new challenge site called Runway Inspired Challenge. If you have not visited the blog yet, I highly recommend that you do. The whole challenge concept is brilliant, as is the Design Team headed by the super talented Jennifer Rzasa.

I am officially on holidays... how blissful is that!  5 lovely weeks to, hopefully, practice my colouring... LOTS!

Let's look at some cards. Angeline is on holidays in Malaysia for a few weeks, so we are one short.

Joy's stunning card uses a wonderful 'Dogwood' stamp from La Blanche. These stamps are really wonderful - if you have not used them yet, I suggest you give them a try :)

This card from Iwona is why I need the practice with my copics!, LOL. Another beautifully coloured image on a stunning card. This is 'Shopping Emily' from Sparkle Creations.

I love the design of this sweet card from Ange. The lovely stamped background uses snowflakes from Lawn Fawn's 'Making Frosty Friends' and this adorable little girl is a stamp called 'Snow Day' from MFT-Pure Innocence.

I kept my card very simple today, with just a little bit of bling to finish it off. This gorgeous image is from Sparkle Creations and is called 'Celebrating Chloe'.

SOLD!

It is so exciting getting new stamps... or ink, or paper, or ribbon, or.... anything!  I just got a couple of new stamps from Penny Black, so had to ink one up :)

Now be kind - I am working hard to improve my colouring skills, LOL... I do think I am getting better. And thanks to Elizabeth for the idea of adding extra bushes around the house :)

I am entering this into the current Wee Memories Challenge.

Just one more day of work for me before finishing school and starting 5 weeks holiday! Can't wait. Enjoy your day :)

It's been raining here all day, but I don't mind... it has really cooled the temperature which is a relief :) I have a wonderful mix of cards to share today.

Lets start with a classic stunner from Joy. She has made these gorgeous felt roses using a Die-namics die from MFT. Aren't they so pretty!

Here is another gorgeously coloured card from Iwona, using 'Snowman' from Gorjuss. I love this image... I think he is pretty cool (pun intended :)).

Angeline has made the most darling little card... how adorable are those twine lollipops! The sentiment is from Lawn Fawn's 'Many Thanks' set.

 'Santa Marci' looks so sweet on this lovely CAS card from Ange. Another beautifully coloured image and The Twinery's twine is the perfect embellishment.

I got a little inky for this card. Lots of distress ink on the background, then I stamped the swirls and embossed them with clear embossing powder and finally a few drops of water. The bird and bird cage are a new Die-namics combo from MFT. The bird cage I painted with pewter crackle paint and them added black soot distress ink - the bird was also coloured with distress inks.

Paper Smooches SPARKS Challenge - Dec 1st -Dec 14th

Today a new Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge begins, yay! There is so much to look at in this photo Kim has chosen - a little something for everyone I think :) I just loved this wall of frames and found the perfect paper to use from MME's Blush collection.

The large frame I hand drew and cut out, then coloured with distress inks. The cute bunny is of course from the set 'A Little Lovin' - the sentiment is actually a mix from the same set and 'Halloweenies' .
