2nd Card

Hello

I am back today with another card for the Sparks Challenge over at Paper Smooches. The elephants and sentiment come from the set 'A Little Lovin' and while these stamps where still out, I thought I would use them again :)  My last card was all about the colours, so this time I decided to focus on the theme of the inspiration photo, which was 'baby' and the style which is 'fun and cute'. I thought this was a good gender neutral baby card.

Well, I'm off to link this up.  Hope you are all having a wonderful day :)

Sparks Challenge

I am really enjoying playing with my Paper Smooches stamps at the moment and while I had them out I thought I would play along with the current Sparks Challenge.

This is the inspiration photo.

For my card I stuck with the colours from the photo. The frog was paper pieced from a piece of white card stock that I misted in green. I then 'dropped' a few splotches of the mist onto the card base as well.

I really like this colour combo so I am sure I will use it again before this challenge finishes :)

It's Almost Friday

Hey there.

I can't wait until tomorrow afternoon... I am on holidays for 2 weeks! Yay me :)

I wanted to share a card I made using the fun cake image from Party Time - check out Jane's Doodles shop here.

What I love most about this image is that you can use all the cakes together or on their own, giving you heaps of options. For this card I coloured with copies and then paper pieced the cakes.

The gorgeous embossed background is the Sunshine plate from PTI... I have seen this plate used by so many other people and finally caved and bought it for myself.

Right, I am off to watch some telly... have a great day/evening.

Busy Sunday

Hello everyone.

Boy, I'm feeling very stressed this morning (actually it's afternoon by the time I get to post this!). My sons girlfriend is having surgery at the moment, I am trying to write an application for a promotion at work (which is not going well), lost one of the DT cards (my husband thought it was spam) and amongst all that still have to do the washing, dishes etc, etc.

Enough complaining LOL. Onto some cards.

LOVE this card by Joy. This stamp is one of the gorgeous new Gorjuss stamps available in the shop... her name is 'Holly'.

This next card is just so cute! Both the image and sentiment come from a new set called 'Making Frosty Friends' by Lawn Fawn. Ange's distressing of the paper and stitching is perfect.

LOL, one day, when I grow up, I hope I will be able to colour half as well as Iwona! She has produced another stunner using 'Marci With Rose' from La La Land stamps. The lovely doily in the background is 'Dizzy Doily' from My Favorite things.

Angeline is brilliant at card design and this next card highlights that. She has combined two Lawn Fawn sets. The background used 'Teeny Tiny Backdrops' and the sentiment is from a new set called 'Many Thanks'.

I am loving these fat little critters from Paper Smooches and decided to use 'Chubby Chums' again - this time the owl. That beautiful patterned paper is Basic Grey 'Hello Luscious and the fab sentiment is from Jane's Doodles new release - available here.

Jane's Doodles Blog Hop!

Welcome - I'm so glad you are here!

You are almost at the end of Jane’s Doodles new stamp release blog hop. I hope you have had a ton of fun and seen plenty of inspiration along the way.

If you hopped along in order, you should have come from our fabulous Guest Designer Wendy Sue’s blog. If you just popped in here on your own, please check out the Jane’s Doodles blog for a full blog hop list!

For my first card I decided to paper piece the fun stacked presents stamp and make a Christmas card. The sentiment is from the same set - 'Party Time' and the paper is Basic Grey.

This card uses the largest of the beautiful peony stamps from 'Pretty Peonies' and is teamed up with a sentiment from 'Big Sentiments'.  Love how the sentiments in this set mix and match with the other sets so well.

My last card also uses some yummy Basic Grey paper and I have again combined an image from 'Pretty Peonies' with a sentiment from 'Big Sentiments'.

Just one more stop… return to Jane’s Doodles Blog, make sure to follow us and leave a comment. One lucky winner will be chosen randomly to receive all three new stamp sets released today!

Thanks so much for hopping with us. Hugs to you all :)

New Design Team Member

Hello

Happy Fathers Day to all the dads out there!

I am very happy and excited today because the fabulously talented Iwona (Chupa) has joined our Design Team! Yay... I am so lucky to have THE BEST design team! - love these girls.

Let's kick off with Iwona's card. She has used 'Boy & His Dog Snow Adorable' from MFT's Pure Innoence line and WOW, her colouring is amazing! Fabulous design and gorgeous card.

It's officially spring here 'down under' and Ange is getting a jump on the holiday season with this gorgeous Christmas card using Hero Arts stamps. The wonderful stamped background is a stamp from Practicing Creativity called 'For The Love Of Grids'.

Joy's stunning card uses lots of Hero Arts goodies and the fantastic Jenni Bowlin inks, Cough Syrup, Chicken Feed and Brown Sugar. Love the layers on the flower and how she curled the ends for more dimension.

Angeline's lovely card is all about sentiments and it is so sweet! She has combined two different sets - 'For The Love Of Dots' from Practicing Creativity and 'Sophie's Sentiments' from Lawn Fawn. And her adorable sweet she created with Pink Sorbet twine from The Twinery. Boy, thats a lot of 'sweet'!

Angeline

I am also very excited by all the new product in the shop at the moment. I could not wait to ink up some Paper Smooches! I wanted to enter CAS-ual Fridays challenge which is to create a project inspired by a book and use the colours black, white and red. My card is inspired by 'Fat Cat' a great children's book.
(I took liberties with the colours :))

Whew! That was a long post! Have a fantastic day.
