CASEd

I just adore Melissa Phillips' cards - everything she does is absolutely amazing! I just can't achieve the same look she does :(  When I spotted this card (the second one down) I had to CASE it - a very simple version of it. I still like hers much better though, LOL.

The leaf is from PTI's Harvest Berries - I painted it with crackle paint and then spritzed it with Mr Huey's calico shine... it looks much better in real life.

Well the work week is half over... enjoy the downward slide to the weekend :)

DT Post

Hello. Sunday here means Design Team cards to share, and I have some wonderful cards to show you :)

But first, I would like to remind you about our current challenge - you still have plenty of time to play. Just click the 'note' below to see all the details.

Joy's starting us off today with a Seasonal card with a difference. That background is a little non-traditional but looks amazing! The stamp is 'Houndstooth Background' from Hero Arts/Studio Calico. I bet she had fun adding all those buttons and bling :)

Ange has a delightful card using 'Summer Christmas Marci' from La La Land. I know everyone 'down under' can appreciate this stamp as we celebrate Christmas at summertime. The colouring on this card is superb.

Next is another super card from Iwona and again the colouring is superb! This sweet image is 'Presents For You' from MFT Pure Innocence. Iwona also used some Die-Namics - MFT have a wonderful range.

How about this beauty from Angeline! She has used Japanese Masking Tape to make this gorgeous card. The sweet sentiment is from 'Chit Chat' from Paper Smooches.

I have tried something new on my card today - embossing using a spellbinders die. I know this is not new :), but I saw it on this card by Jenny (thank you Jenny) and wanted to give it a go. My Santa from Jane's Doodles 'Vintage Christmas' was the perfect fit. The little holly leaves are from 'Christmas Wonder' by Practicing Creativity. I thought I would enter this into the challenge over at Just Us Girls - they are having a colour challenge - Red, Green and White.

I hope you all have a wonderful day :)

Yay! Today a new challenge begins over at Paper Smooches. It runs from the 17th -30th November.

Here is the inspiration picture that Kim choose for us - gorgeous isn't it!

I went with the colours from the photo (not quite an exact match... but artistic licence and all that :))

I wanted to use this fun new set called Promenade and it had the perfect sentiment for a gift card.

Hop on over to the SPARKS blog to see the rest of the DT projects. You can also find all the details of the challenge, including the wonderful prizes you could win.

Friends Always

Hello.

I wanted to share a card I made for the Moxie Fab World's - The Celebrating Relationships Challenge. The four challenges that Cath is running at the moment are so fun, make sure you check them out!

For this card I started with the Garden Bouquet stamp from Hero Arts - I water coloured just part of the stamp with distress inks and them stamped on water colour paper. This sweet girl is Little Miss Mia, who I coloured with copics and paper pieced.

Well thats me for today, bye :)

It's Time

For another Sunday DT post!

To start this week off, we have another stunningly coloured card from Iwona using one of the Gorjuss girls - this one is called 'Fox Gloves'

Angeline has made another beautiful Christmas card using 'Rejoice' from Practicing Creativity. Her style is so elegant!

Joy has created a great 'guys' card with a mix of stamps. This fun background stamp is 'Formula Fun' from Hero Arts. The cool TV is from Paper Smooches 'Boob Tube' and the sentiment from 'Sentiment Sampler' and to finish is off, some Charcoal twine from The Twinery.

What a fun birthday card from Ange! This is a My Favorite Things 'a-la-mode' stamp - there are lots of cute ones to choose from and they include sentiments.

 Ange

I made a very CAS card this week for the Moxie Fab World 'The Random Fun' Challenge. This fun cocktail is a Sparkle Creations stamp called 'Cocktail Emily' - I actually cut Emily off and paper pieced the rest of the image. The sentiment is from Jane's Doodles 'Big Sentiments' set.

We still have our current challenge running - Use your holiday stamps to create a Non-holiday card! We would love you to join us. You can find the link on the side bar.

Enjoy the rest of you weekend :)

Another Alteration

Hello

I decided to have another play with the 'Mademoiselle Noel' stamp from Penny Black while it was out. I have really enjoyed finding new ways to use this stamp. Your can see the other two cards I made here and here.

This time around I removed the bunch of flowers she was carrying and gave her a bag instead. The background has lots of distressing and I flicked water onto it... kind of looks like snow :)

Well it's Monday, so I am off to work :( Have a great week.

Design Team

Hello

I am in the middle of some crafty time as I write this, so I am going to make it short so I can get back to it :)

Joy has been having a play this week with Gelatos and the results look amazing! All stamps used to make her card are from Hero Arts.

Ange has used a gorgeous set from Lawn Fawn called 'Bows & Holly'. Love the distressing on this adorable card.

Angeline has again made a simple and beautifully stylish Christmas card.

 Angeline

We have some more Hero Arts goodness on this gorgeous card by Iwona. I just love that cloud stamp.

Iwona

I decided to make another card for our current challenge which is to 'use your holiday stamps to make non-holiday cards'. I used my Paper Smooches 'Halloweenies' set and altered the mouths on both images. The number is hand written and the sentiment is from Lawn Fawns 'Harold's ABCs', and has been embossed in white. We would love for you to play along in the challenge - you can find the link on the side bar.

Enjoy your weekend.

Jane's Doodles Blog Hop

This is my second post for today - please scroll down for my Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge post :)

Welcome to the Jane's Doodles blog hop. We are releasing a gorgeous set today called Vintage Christmas - the images really are lovely.

If you hopped along in order, you should have come from our fabulous Guest Designer Betsy Veldman's blog. If you just popped in here on your own, you can pop over to Jane's blog and start the hop at the beginning!

First up I made a coupIe of tags and had fun playing with some different techniques.

I think this snowman is my favourite image from the set... he is so easy to paper piece :)

We have also added some Digital stamps to the store - be sure to check them out. Remember to check out the Jane's Doodles blog and leave a comment, there are prizes to be had!

Thanks for dropping by.

Paper Smooches SPARKS Challenge

Hello and welcome to a new Paper Smooches SPARKS Challenge.

Kim has chosen another wonderful inspiration picture to help get your creative juices flowing :)

I couldn't go past the apple image and so used it for the focal point of my card. I paper pieced the apple from 'Falling For You' and coloured the 'skin' with copies. I stamped some speckles inside the 'core' part of the apple and drew a couple of pips. The stamped part of the sentiment is from the same set and I used white velvet thickets, which I coloured with my black pen, for the word 'core'. A few drops of mist finished it off.

You have until Wednesday, November 16th to create a project based on the inspiration photo and link it up over on the SPARKS blog.

Hop on over to the blog to see the rest of the DT projects. You can also find all the details of the challenge, including the wonderful prizes you could win.

I can't wait to see what you create :)

Hi

Last week I used this 'Mademoiselle Noel' stamp from Penny Black to make this Christmas card.

Today I have used her again with a couple of alterations :) I removed her santa hat and added a little more hair. I also added a criss cross pattern to all the 'fur trim' on her dress and hat - which now, hopefully looks like a headband.

Thanks so much for all your comments... they really make day :)
