I Miss You

I recently got a couple of new Unity stamps and finally got around to having a play :) I have long admired those crafters that using sponging as a colouring technique, so I had a play with this adorable image. It is not as easy as they make it look! Still, for a first attempt I don't think it's horrible, LOL.

The image is called 'Present in my Heart' and I hand made the 'polaroid'. I am entering it into this weeks Friends with Flair on the Unity blog. They are having a great 40% off sale at the moment if you haven't checked it out.

If you have any great sponging tips for me, especially what sort of sponge you use, I would love to know.

Cheers

A Belated Birthday Card

Hello

Yay! ... tomorrow is Friday and I am so excited because we break for two weeks for Easter :)  My plan is to have lots of crafty time - hopefully.

Ok, I have a very quick and simple card to share tonight - it's big - 8.25" x 4". I apologise for the photo, the sentiment is not as faint as that in real life. The image and sentiment are from Taylored Expressions and I decided to leave his feet and nose white.

I am going to enter this into Use It Tuesday's challenge #28 - Unlinked Stamp (both stamps sadly neglected until today) and Simon Says  - Anything Goes challenge.

Enjoy the rest of your week :)

Another simple card to share today - would you believe this is my first time ever using a doily!

Once again I am using an image from Vintage Treasures stickerz - that makes 5 cards made with this set and only half the stickerz used - how's that for value for money!

DT Magic

Hi there...

...you are going to love todays cards by the DT team, every one of them is stunning - have I told you lately how fabulous these girls are!

First up we have this stunning and dramatic card by Angeline. I love how this turned out. The stamps used are "Refections" by Paper Smooches.

For those of you celebrating the start of Spring, this gorgeous card by Ange is perfect! She has used 'Barefoot Summer' from Practicing Creativity.

Who would not want this beautiful bookmark for themselves? Iwona has done a wonderful job with this gorgeous set by Hero Arts/Studio Calico, "I Love Books".

For my card, I let the fabulous patterned paper do all the work - it is from October Afternoon, but quite old :) My adorable bunny is from Jane's Doodles "Easter Time" and the sentiment is from Practicing Creativity "Everyday Prints".

Our current challenge is still running until 31 March, you will find the link on the sidebar - we would love you to join in :)

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Paper Smooches SPARKS Challenge 22 March - 4 April

Hello

Today a new Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge begins and Kim has chosen a super cute inspiration photo. Aren't these little rabbits adorable :)

I was inspired by the two main colours - white and green, and by the felt. A super simple card. Both my sentiment and fun sheep image are from the 'Party Posse' stamp set.

I hope you feel inspired to come and join us for this fun challenge.  If you don't have any Paper Smooches stamps, grab one of the free digi stamps here.

You can find all the details of the challenge on the blog, including the fabulous prizes Kim offers and while you are there, be sure to check out the other DT projects too :)

Just A Note

Hi there!

Well, I am pleased to report that today was a beautiful sunny day :) After six straight days of rain and a mini tornado, it was long overdue!  Thank goodness it was a very thin tornado (hope that makes sense) and we were on the outskirts so not too much damage. Some people were not so lucky with about 30 homes damaged and about 8 of those needing to be demolished. The scary thing is there was no warning it was coming!

On a brighter note, I have a card to share that I made for the Jane's Doodles blog - this adorable owl is from the 'You're A Hoot' stamp set. I just love his big goggly eyes.  The sentiment is a freebie from Unity - can't get better than that.

Thanks so much for stopping by :)

Hugs

EAD Blog Hop

Woohoo! Time again for EAD Designs blog hop.

Make sure you start the hop from the beginning and comment along the way - one lucky hopper wins free vinyl every week!

I have used the ginkgo leaves from PTI's Harvest Berries set, stamped with Worn Lipstick distress ink and then again with Spun Sugar. The edges have been inked with Tea Dye and I hand stitched using embroidery floss.

I love the look of these vinyl rub-ons, they are smooth and shinny IRL and they apply like a dream!

Time to head over to our March Guest Designer's blog - Jenny. I am sure you will love what she has made for you today :)

A Wet Sunday

Hello.

I am sitting in my craft room typing up this post and it is raining outside... it has been raining for the last four days! Still, it's a perfect excuse to get inky :)

Lets look at todays cards...

Angeline has made this amazing one layer card using a new set from Paper Smooches called 'Reflections' - the sentiment is from an older set called 'Pretty Phrases'. The colours on this card are just so pretty.

Iwona's card shows the versatility of Paper Smooches new sets. She has used 'Dapper' to stamp a pattern onto some of the circles. The sentiment comes from Hero Arts 'Frame A Message'.

This is such a sweet card from Ange using Lawn Fawn's 'My Cup of Tea' - love the design of this card and that gorgeous frame.

 Ange

This is one of those cards that I have looked at for too long and now can't decide if I like it or not!  I cased the design from somewhere, but forgot to write the blog down at the time - my apologies.

The egg and the sentiment both come from Paper Smooches 'Spring Fling' and I took the ears off the bunny from 'A Little Lovin'.
Thanks for stopping by :)

Paper Smooches SPARKS Challenge 8 - 21 March

Hi there

I am back today with a new Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge. But before I get to that, have you bought the new CHA and March release stamps yet?  I love them all :)

Ok, here is the fabulous inspiration photo that Kim has chosen for this challenge.

I obviously was inspired by the felt and decided to make this tag. I stamped the image and sentiment on the felt first and then hand stitched around them with embroidery floss.

The felt has been backed with card stock so that you are still able to write a message.

I hope you feel inspired and come and join us for this fun challenge.  If you don't have any Paper Smooches stamps, grab one of the free digi stamps here.

You can find all the details of the challenge on the blog, including the fabulous prizes Kim offers and while you are there, be sure to check out the other DT projects too :)

Cheers

Photo Friday Challenge

Hello...

I am back with the latest challenge from Carly, from The Simple Things. This weeks photo theme is "blurry/oof".

I actually have two photos today, because I like things about both of them :)

This first photo is just some kind of weed, (we have had so much rain lately, there has just been an explosion of growth!), but I think it is interesting looking.

And on this second photo I really like the contrasting background colours.

Seeing these, I think I need to get away from having my images smack bang in the middle of the frame :)

Check back later this week... I feel a giveaway coming on.

Cheers
