Jay Gee's Design Team

Hello

Are you having a lovely weekend? Mine is very quiet, but that's just what I needed after a busy week at work :)

I have some fabulous cards to share with you today. Ange has gone girly and bright with this gorgeous birthday card. I love this colour combo and isn't her colouring amazing! This very sweet image is 'Balloon Kaylee' from Some Odd Girl.

Wow, Angeline just has such a fabulous clean style and all her cards are just gorgeous! This is such a clever use of the 'Chloe stem' die from Memory Box.

I have a friend who just got a new puppy, so I thought I would make a tag to go onto a bag of dog food I got as a 'welcome' present. The tag is a die from MFT - 'Tag - You're it'. The little puppy is stamped on patterned paper and it and the sentiment are from 'Buddie-Bee' by the Sweet Stamp Shop. To finish it off I added twine from The Twinery.

It's hard to tell in the first photo, but the puppy was pieced and lifted with dimensional foam.

Well, I am going to be having a busy time on the blog this week, starting tomorrow, so I hope you will pop back and have a look.

Thanks for stopping by:)

Sunday = Design Team Post

Hi there, it's time for another Design Team post and everyone is back today - yay!

We are starting the show with this stunning card from Angeline. Simple perfection!  The sentiment is from Lawn Fawn's 'Many Thanks' set.

Isn't this card just gorgeous! Ange has used this MME patterned paper to perfection... love the brads, stitching and distressing.

I am really loving all the breast cancer support stamps that have been released lately - such an important message to share. This sweet image from My Favorite Things is set off beautifully on Iwona's fabulous card.

Joy has made a fabulous tag using some new goodies from Hero Arts. She used the Newspaper Eiffel Tower stamp for the main image. The heart is a Die-namics die, 'Hearts a plenty' and it's finished off with some Mr Huey's mist and twine.

I don't know about you, but patterned paper scares me! I love to look at it, but when it comes to using more that one piece, I have no idea how to mix and match. Today's card was a challenge to myself and although very simple, I did use 3 different papers for this card :) The style is cased from the fabulous Courtney Kelley.

The scalloped border is a Die-namics die, the bird is from Jane's Doodles 'Garden Friends' and the sentiment is from Paper Smooches 'Word Salad'.

LOL, I hope you are still with us after all that. Next week we will have a new challenge for you, so make sure you come back.

Thanks for visiting and have a wonderful Sunday :)

Hello

It's been raining here all day, but I don't mind... it has really cooled the temperature which is a relief :) I have a wonderful mix of cards to share today.

Lets start with a classic stunner from Joy. She has made these gorgeous felt roses using a Die-namics die from MFT. Aren't they so pretty!

Here is another gorgeously coloured card from Iwona, using 'Snowman' from Gorjuss. I love this image... I think he is pretty cool (pun intended :)).

Angeline has made the most darling little card... how adorable are those twine lollipops! The sentiment is from Lawn Fawn's 'Many Thanks' set.

'Santa Marci' looks so sweet on this lovely CAS card from Ange. Another beautifully coloured image and The Twinery's twine is the perfect embellishment.

 Ange

I got a little inky for this card. Lots of distress ink on the background, then I stamped the swirls and embossed them with clear embossing powder and finally a few drops of water. The bird and bird cage are a new Die-namics combo from MFT. The bird cage I painted with pewter crackle paint and them added black soot distress ink - the bird was also coloured with distress inks.

Have a wonderful Sunday :)

It's Time

For another Sunday DT post!

To start this week off, we have another stunningly coloured card from Iwona using one of the Gorjuss girls - this one is called 'Fox Gloves'

Angeline has made another beautiful Christmas card using 'Rejoice' from Practicing Creativity. Her style is so elegant!

Joy has created a great 'guys' card with a mix of stamps. This fun background stamp is 'Formula Fun' from Hero Arts. The cool TV is from Paper Smooches 'Boob Tube' and the sentiment from 'Sentiment Sampler' and to finish is off, some Charcoal twine from The Twinery.

What a fun birthday card from Ange! This is a My Favorite Things 'a-la-mode' stamp - there are lots of cute ones to choose from and they include sentiments.

 Ange

I made a very CAS card this week for the Moxie Fab World 'The Random Fun' Challenge. This fun cocktail is a Sparkle Creations stamp called 'Cocktail Emily' - I actually cut Emily off and paper pieced the rest of the image. The sentiment is from Jane's Doodles 'Big Sentiments' set.

We still have our current challenge running - Use your holiday stamps to create a Non-holiday card! We would love you to join us. You can find the link on the side bar.

Enjoy the rest of you weekend :)

Hello

Wow, what a busy week! Hopefully tomorrow I will have my computer up and running again, fingers crossed :)

The DT have some wonderful cards to share with you today, so lets dive straight in.

Ange has created the cutest card using this adorable stamp from Lawn Fawn called 'Winter Fox'. I love how she stamped that teeny tiny Christmas Tree on the mug.

Love all the embossing on Joy's wonderful Christmas card. She has used Hero Arts 'Merry Christmas Tree' set and finished the card with Honeydew Twine from The Twinery.

Next up, we have a beautiful tag from Angeline using Lawn Fawn's 'Many Thanks' set. I love this sweet sentiment.

How fun is this card by Iwona and how beautifully coloured! This is 'Buccaneer Marci' from La La Land - gorgeous isn't she?

I have also gone with a Christmas theme for my card, with lots of distressing and some misting. The label and sentiment both come from 'Everyday Prints' from Practicing Creativity... I just love this font. The holly leaves are from another set called 'Christmas Wonder', also by Practicing Creativity.

Well I hope your Sunday is wonder, thanks for stopping by :)

New Design Team Member

Hello

Happy Fathers Day to all the dads out there!

I am very happy and excited today because the fabulously talented Iwona (Chupa) has joined our Design Team! Yay... I am so lucky to have THE BEST design team! - love these girls.

Let's kick off with Iwona's card. She has used 'Boy & His Dog Snow Adorable' from MFT's Pure Innoence line and WOW, her colouring is amazing! Fabulous design and gorgeous card.

It's officially spring here 'down under' and Ange is getting a jump on the holiday season with this gorgeous Christmas card using Hero Arts stamps. The wonderful stamped background is a stamp from Practicing Creativity called 'For The Love Of Grids'.

Joy's stunning card uses lots of Hero Arts goodies and the fantastic Jenni Bowlin inks, Cough Syrup, Chicken Feed and Brown Sugar. Love the layers on the flower and how she curled the ends for more dimension.

Angeline's lovely card is all about sentiments and it is so sweet! She has combined two different sets - 'For The Love Of Dots' from Practicing Creativity and 'Sophie's Sentiments' from Lawn Fawn. And her adorable sweet she created with Pink Sorbet twine from The Twinery. Boy, thats a lot of 'sweet'!

Angeline

I am also very excited by all the new product in the shop at the moment. I could not wait to ink up some Paper Smooches! I wanted to enter CAS-ual Fridays challenge which is to create a project inspired by a book and use the colours black, white and red. My card is inspired by 'Fat Cat' a great children's book.
(I took liberties with the colours :))

Whew! That was a long post! Have a fantastic day.

Spring Is Here

Hello there!

I am just popping in to share my card for this weeks Wee Memories challenge, which is "Spring is Near, Green is here!"

Very simple card, but I like it. The cloud paper is from A Muse, the die cut clouds are PTI. I hand cut the leaves and the flower is a Martha Stewart sticker that I have had for ages. The grass is a scrap piece of Cosmo Cricket and of course yummy twine from The Twinery.

I hope you have all had a great start to your week.

Inspired By...

Hello everyone. It's the middle of the week already and I have another very busy week at work (sigh). However, I did manage to make a card, yay!

I have been having a hard time making cards lately, so today I turned to an amazing stamper, Jill Foster and her wonderful blog, Inspired By... to find my inspiration. I actually cased one of Jill's cards - thank you Jill!

The image is Garden Bouquet by Hero Arts and on the sentiment panel I used Graph Background also by Hero Arts. Lots of distress ink on this card and I used a new colour twine - Blossom - from The Twinery.

I hope you enjoy the rest of your week :)

DT Post And Challenge #2 Winner

Less than a week to Christmas now! I hope you are all more organised than I am... I still have not finished my shopping. Oh well, nothing like fighting all those crowds trying to get last minute gifts.

Right, onto the winner of Challenge #2. We had some wonderful entries and I would like to take the opportunity to thank everyone who entered. Thank goodness for random.org as I would not be able to choose a winner!

Congratulations Jen. Please email me and I will get your prize out to you.

This is the last DT post for 2010 - the girls are having a well deserved break. We will be back on the 9th January with a new challenge and DT post.

Lets see what the girls have been up to this week!

Joy has made a cute little Christmas card using Lawn Fawn's Critters in the Snow set and she finished it off with my favorite embellishment - bakers twine.

Ange made two cards today, both using Everyday Prints by Practicing Creativity. The first is a sweet 'Love You' card and with the second she creates a completely different look.

My card today uses Lawn Fawn's My Silly Valentine set and some Cosmo Cricket paper.

Lucy showed her technique for adding glitter to cards and I used this for my pears. The end result resembles a puffy epoxy sticker.

I also used Repeat Impression D8 CASE Card Challenge for the inspiration for my card - I just flipped the layout.

Well I hope you all have a fantastic weekend and manage to find some crafty time in your busy schedules.

Off The Wall Craftiness

Happy Monday everyone. I am super happy today as this is my last week of work before having 6 weeks holiday! Can't wait.

I decided to make a card for Off the Wall Craftiness challenge #36.

I love these colours, but couldn't resist adding just a splash of red.

The flower stamp I used is from Amy Butler, the sentiment is a TPC stamp and the background is Hero Art's Old Letter Writing. I added a Martha Stewart punched butterfly, some brown bling, bakers twine and distress inks.

I also wanted to say thank you for all the lovely comments you have been leaving - I truly appreciate it.

WOW!

Happy Wednesday everyone!

I am very excited today. I just won the City Crafter Challenge #31 with this card! Amazing! Totally unexpected.

Anyway, I have a simple Christmas card to share with you today.

I stamped the background with Hero Arts music stamp in versamark ink - it does not show up as well as I hoped in the photo. Then I attached a punched border to both sides in purple cardstock. The ornament is a PTI stamp. I embossed the pattern in white and then coloured with dusty concord distress ink and added my favorite bakers twine. Love this stuff! The sentiment is from A Muse (which I also embossed in white).

Well, I'm off to unwind and watch some TV. Take care.

Happy Sunday

Hello. I am happy to be sharing our DT cards with you this morning. I am not sure how they do it, but each week Ange and Joy make the most amazing cards!

(All product mentioned can be found in the store).

Today Ange has created a little scene using Lawn Fawn's 'Cozy Christmas' set. The detail in this card is amazing - the wooden floor, the little wooden picture frame, the damask wallpaper. So clever!

Joy has used Inchies on her card today and it looks fantastic! It is amazing what you can do with these little squares and just between you and me, I think Joy has now been converted to the 'Inchie way' :).

My son will be graduating from TAFE in a couple of weeks, so I decided to make a couple of graduation cards.

On this card I inked up Hero Arts 'Graph Background' stamp, wiped patches of ink off the stamp and then stamped straight onto the card base, giving it a more distressed look. On the black strip I stamped and embossed the houndstooth pattern from Practicing Creativity's 'Retro Christmas Backgrounds'. The graduation cap is from Lawn Fawn's 'Hats Off to You' set.

For my second card I used my Label No. 8 nesties die to cut out the middle portion of the cardstock. I then very lightly stamped with Hero Arts 'Old Letter Writing' in antique linen distress ink. The graduation cap and sentiment are both from Lawn Fawn's 'Hats Off to You' and I added some twine.

Remember, you still have time to enter our challenge here.

Thanks so much for dropping by. Enjoy what's left of your weekend.

DT Post

Welcome to our Sunday DT post! I hope you are all having a great weekend.

I have some fabulous cards to share with you today, so lets get straight into it :)

(Remember to check out the DT's blogs for more details on their cards)

Ange has made this lovely Christmas card using Practicing Creativity's Retro Christmas set. And that large ornament is made with Japanese Masking Tape - brilliant!

This super cute card Joy made again uses a Practicing Creativity's set, The Whole Cycle. Joy also used some yummy A Muse gingham paper (love this) and bakers twine.

My card today is different to what I usually do - it was a special order for a friends daughter (I think she likes pink LOL)

For my main image I used Lawn Fawn's Bake Me A Cake set and I added glossy accents to the icing to give it a nice shine. The banner was made with the Die-namics die, 'Banner Day Die' from My Favorite Things. Lace from Fancy Pants, letters are American Craft velvet thickers, scrunched seam binding and bakers twine finish it off.

I am entering this card in the Wee Memories Challenge #30. It is Jenny's one year blog birthday - Happy Blog Birthday Jenny!
Remember to enter our monthly challenge - the link can be found on the sidebar. We have had some amazing entries already and would love it if you joined us.

DT Goodness

Boy, these Sunday's seem to roll around faster and faster! (Only 8 weeks left of school before I am on holidays! Yay!)

Ange and Joy have some amazing cards to share with you today.

This is another fun card Ange made, again using Lawn Fawn's 'Just My Type' set. That paper pieced phone is so cute! And she added my favourite Twine!

Joy has also used a set from Lawn Fawn. This is a little set sold as a single stamp called 'Winter Bunny'. Isn't he cute? And notice that background? - Japanese masking tape! Another fun card.

Didn't I tell you these girls are fabulous!

My card today is a CAS card that would be easy to reproduce. Both the little houses and the sentiment are from A Muse and I used lots of glitter for the snow.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Jay Gee

PS. Lots of things happening in the next couple of weeks, so keep an eye on the blog.
