It's Never Too Early...

... to make your Christmas cards!

During my daily blog stalking, I came across
this post from Amy where she talked about starting her Christmas cards early. Christmas 2010 was the first time I have made my own Christmas cards and to take the pressure off I decided to follow her example.

So... here is my first Christmas card for 2011!!

Amy also mentioned a new challenge blog called Jingle Belles - perfect timing! The challenge this week is to use 'something old, something new'. Believe it or not, the two stamps I used are new Hero Arts stamps that I just inked for the first time on this card! The something old is that little angel charm, which I have had for ages and just re-found the other day. The patterned paper is also old - the first patterned paper I ever bought - it's from SU.

There is also another new Christmas challenge blog I just discovered - Crafty Hazelnuts Christmas challenge. The theme here is Anything Goes so I am entering this card there as well.

Have a great day!

You're right ! It's never too early.
I have that stamp and I don't think I have used it yet. This card is simply adorable. I love the charm and the twine wrapped several times around the card. clever.

What a fantastic idea!! The only problem is I can't bear to look at my Christmas stamps at the moment, I used them so much last month ;) Maybe in a couple of months I'll be able to bring them out again!

I almost forgot - love this card, simple and striking!

I love the idea of starting cards early, like NOW. I feel so behind this past Christmas I hardly got any done. I am going to try to make a few every month to stay on top of it.

Thanks for commenting on my blog! I'm so glad you did because I love your blog, I just got sucked into reading old posts for about an hour! lol

I have that reindeer, too!! Why have I never used him? Or her? It's beautiful!! I also adore that HA background. Great. Now I want that, too. Crud. I'm supposed to just comment, not want to go shopping. :/

ANYWAY!! I love your card. Everything about it! The twine, the earthy colors, the beautiful "simplicity". Gorgeous.

Oh, this is just fantastic! Love how the charm balances with the reindeer, and kudos to you for starting early! Perhaps I can too make up for lost time, since I never got around to sending out holiday cards this year.

Gorgeous card Judith! I love that you are starting early! Maybe I should do the same! 5-10 cards a month and that cuts down on alot of the work that would noramlly be last minute...or not at all in my case! (Shutterfly cards for me this year! LOL!)

I'm hoping these challenges will help me to use some of the things I've been hoarding. This one sure helped. Love that little charm. It's so..... charming (sorry, couldn't resist). This should be a great year of challenges.

You will be really happy to have those cards done early! I will start making some too as soon as I scrapbook some Christmas LO's first. I use the scrap for cards. Can't bring myself to cut up the nice 12x12 sheets until I get some LO's done. You go, girl!
