I have a quick post to share tonight. I should be making a card for my DT post tomorrow, but had a little play instead... oops!
So, I have been very slack in participating in Jingle Belles challenges, but their latest challenge is 'vintage' and I wanted to play. I hope this image is vintage enough as it is not a vintage card, in fact it is a very non traditional Christmas card :) I decided to combine it with the first challenge of CAS-ual Fridays, which is all about text. Very happy that there is a new CAS challenge blog!
I stamped the Santa image on newspaper, matted it on black card stock and applied glossy accents to the whole lot. I added the ribbon for a splash of colour.
Edited: Sorry I forgot to say what stamps I used. The santa image is from Victorine Originals and the sentiment is from Hero Arts - Celebrate The Season.

This is brilliant, Judith! It's the perfect vintage CAS card! I love the Santa image and the sentiment - where are they from? And the red ribbons are the perfect accent.

oh my gosh *YES*--that gorgeous stamp is DEFINITELY "vintage enough" for anyone, and i particularly ♥LOVE♥ how you've used it over a texty background! i love that you've made this card C&S as well; i tend to go even more collagey and maximal with a vintage vibe, but you've done the reverse and it is just BRILLIANT!!!!!!!!!!!! ♥!
Newspaper, now that's a great material for the text challenge... I had to look at this card more then once, great job.
